How to Hide Text Previews for Every App Notification
Additionally, instead of turning off the notification preview, you can use Attention-Aware features on iPhone with Face ID. This will expand the notification only when the iPhone has your attention; that is when you are looking at the screen. Anybody else can not see the preview of your notifications from the lock screen. You can enable this from Settings app → Face ID & Passcode → enable Attention-Aware features. Finally, one minor thing to note is that on iPhone with Face ID, ‘When Unlocked‘ is the default setting for Show Previews of apps.
